Location: Stonestown Galleria, San Francisco, CAEmployment Type: Full-Time, Non-ExemptSchedule: 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidaysPay Range: $23.00 – $27.00 per hourStart Date: Immediate About the Role The Customer Service Specialist / Optician plays a key role in delivering an exceptional in-store experience by guiding customers through eyewear selection, performing accurate optical measurements, and ensuring high standards of service, accuracy, and brand representation. This role combines customer service, technical optician support, and retail operations in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Assist customers in selecting eyewear based on visual needs, lifestyle, and personal preferencesPerform eyewear fittings and frame adjustments to ensure comfort and accuracyTake precise optical measurements including pupillary distance, temple length, and bridge sizeEducate customers on lens options, eyewear care, warranties, and store policiesProcess sales transactions, payments, returns, and exchanges using POS systemsMaintain organized, well-stocked sales floor and backroom inventoryReceive, verify, and process incoming inventory shipmentsPerform basic eyeglass assembly and frame adjustments as neededAddress customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and integrityRespond to customer emails and phone inquiries regarding products and store servicesSupport store goals through teamwork and collaborationParticipate in training sessions, staff meetings, and company updatesEnsure compliance with company policies related to privacy, safety, security, and customer records Qualifications Minimum 1 year of customer service experience requiredOptical or retail experience preferredABO Certification preferred but not requiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsHigh attention to detail, especially with prescriptions and measurementsAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced retail environmentTeam-oriented mindset with a positive and proactive attitudeFlexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts Education & Certifications High school diploma or equivalent preferredABO Certification preferred Benefits & Perks Competitive hourly pay with growth opportunitiesMedical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offEmployee eyewear discountsTraining and support toward ABO certification and optician licensingCollaborative and inclusive team environment#ff-ov
