Customer Service Representative - Billing/Payroll
Full-time, in-office, no remote or hybrid
Location: Chester, NY
Salary: $70,000-$80,000
We are seeking a sharp, service-oriented Customer Service Representative to join a growing payroll software company. This person will work directly with clients, helping them navigate their payroll system, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a smooth and accurate payroll experience.
The ideal candidate has worked in UKG Ready or a similar payroll/HCM platform and understands both the technical and customer-service sides of payroll. We are looking for someone who is sharp, patient, resourceful, and genuinely enjoys solving problems for clients.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding payroll and system-related questions
- Assist clients with UKG Ready, including payroll processing, timekeeping, timecards, accruals, corrections, and other system functions
- Troubleshoot payroll and software issues and provide clear, timely solutions
- Guide clients through system processes and explain features in an easy-to-understand way
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Maintain strong client relationships through responsive, professional customer service
- Escalate complex technical or payroll issues when necessary
- Work closely with internal payroll and implementation teams to ensure client satisfaction
Qualifications
- 2 years experience with UKG Ready strongly preferred
- Previous experience in payroll, payroll software, HCM, or workforce management
- Strong customer service and client-facing skills
- Comfortable troubleshooting software and payroll-related issues
- Detail-oriented and accurate
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple client requests and prioritize effectively
- Tech-savvy, quick learner, and strong problem solver
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
