What You’ll Do
- Enter, confirm, and update purchase orders
- Track ship dates, pricing changes, and MOQ updates
- Follow up with vendors on backorders and alternate sourcing
- Process drop‑ship POs and sales orders
- Liaise with accounting warehouse to resolve discrepancies
- Review backorder risk reports and reduce occurrences
- Manage overstock returns short‑dated product pulls
- Assign PO follow‑ups to purchasing assistants
- Support internal sales teams with product availability questions
What You Bring
- 1 years purchasing experience (distribution or small‑company preferred)
- Experience guiding workflow or supporting junior team members
- ERP experience; NetSuite is a plus
- Strong accuracy, follow‑through, and multitasking
- Clear communication and customer‑service mindset
Role Details
- Location: Pikesville, MD
- Schedule: Mon–Fri
- On‑site to start; transitions to hybrid (3 in office / 2 remote) after ramp‑up
- Supports a team of four purchasing personnel (no formal direct reports)
- Reports to the VP of Operations
Compensation
$60,000–$70,000 target range, depending on experience.
