What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager position at Hire Score LLC?
We are partnering with a growing environmental services company with a national footprint to hire an Account Manager based out of its Miami office. This newly created role will own a portfolio of strategic client accounts and support continued company growth. A hybrid schedule is available after training.
You will serve as the primary contact for your accounts—building relationships, driving retention, managing renewals and service needs, and identifying opportunities to expand business through additional services, properties, and locations.
This is a relationship-first, quota-bearing role focused on growing and retaining an existing book of business. It is ideal for someone who is proactive, organized, client-facing, and motivated by deepening long-term customer relationships.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the primary relationship owner and point of contact for an assigned portfolio of strategic accounts.
- Drive retention by tracking renewal dates, developing account profiles, and proactively identifying at-risk accounts
- Grow your book through service increases, additional properties, and portfolio expansion within your existing clients.
- Run a proactive touchpoint cadence of account reviews, portfolio audits, and renewal conversations.
- Orchestrate resolution of service or billing issues by routing to the right internal team and following through to close.
- Partner with internal teams to keep your accounts healthy and your pipeline of expansion opportunities up to date.
- Maintain accurate CRM records for account status, renewal risk, and growth opportunities
What Success Looks Like:
- Low, well-managed churn across your book, with at-risk accounts flagged and addressed early.
- Consistent client touchpoints and accurate account and renewal records
- Measurable revenue growth within your existing portfolio each quarter.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the waste, environmental services, or related B2B account management / customer success field preferred.
- Experience managing multi-location or multi-property client portfolios.
- Experience inheriting and managing an existing book of business following a structured sales handoff
- Comfortable owning a quota and closing expansion revenue through renewals, service growth, and upselling
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to earn and maintain trust with clients
- Proactive and organized, with the ability to identify risks and opportunities before they become urgent
- Strong professional presence and comfort serving as the face of the company with senior client contacts
- Strong CRM experience, HubSpot or a similar account-management platform
- Consistent follow-through and strong attention to detail
