Our client, a well‑established organization with a strong engineering and production environment, is seeking a Manufacturing & Quoting Specialist to support ERP accuracy, quoting integrity, and cross‑functional coordination. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical detail, thrives in fast‑moving operations, and takes ownership of manufacturing data that drives purchasing, scheduling, and production.
This position is onsite in Duluth, GA (5 days per week initially), with potential flexibility once established.
About the Role
The Manufacturing & Quoting Specialist serves as a central connector between Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Buyers, Suppliers, and Production. You’ll manage BOM accuracy, job setup, quoting workflows, and manufacturing information within the ERP system—ensuring everything is complete, aligned, and ready for execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, manufacturing jobs, and related ERP data.
- Build, revise, and manage customer quotes within the ERP system.
- Retrieve and organize RFPs and supporting documentation from customer portals.
- Review engineering drawings and specifications to confirm BOM accuracy and manufacturability.
- Manage tooling information, inventory changes, and component substitutions.
- Coordinate supplier quotations and maintain pricing documentation.
- Update BOMs, routings, jobs, and quotes in response to engineering changes or customer revisions.
- Identify discrepancies or missing information before jobs or quotes are released.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, PMs, Engineering, Purchasing, Buyers, Production, Customer Service, and Suppliers.
- Support receiving, production scheduling, and shipping operations.
- Resolve issues such as incorrect parts received from suppliers.
Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing master data (BOMs, routings, jobs, quotes).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer documentation.
- Background in production planning or technical operations.
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working cross‑functionally.
- Ability to manage frequent revisions, multiple RFPs, competing priorities, and tight deadlines.
- High proficiency with ERP systems, customer portals, spreadsheets, and manufacturing software.
- Experience in AS9100 or aerospace/defense environments is a plus.
- Experience with tools or tooling management is a plus.
