Position Summary
This role involves managing a large book of business—with an emphasis on clients in the agriculture industry—assisting new producers in handling and processing new and renewal lines of business, and providing top-tier customer service to assigned clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage a large book of commercial accounts with a focus on agriculture-related businesses.

Be proficient across various lines of coverage and identify potential risk exposures.

Expand accounts by rounding out, upselling, and cross-selling additional products.

Conduct periodic coverage and risk reviews.

Process changes and renewals with clients, insurance companies, and producers.

Order and remarket renewals, quote, and prepare proposals.

Submit applications for new business and follow up on underwriting requirements.

Document all customer interactions in the agency management system.

Mentor and develop junior staff (Account Managers, Assistants).

Communicate directly with company underwriters.

Continue personal and professional development.
-
Stay informed on market conditions, pricing, and product options.

Bind renewal policies and service ongoing client needs (e.g., binders, invoices, certificates).

Ensure policy accuracy and prevent errors and omissions.

Assist clients during audits and interpret results.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
-
High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.

5 years experience in commercial P&C insurance, ideally with agriculture or middle market clients.
Licenses or Certifications

Active Idaho Property and Casualty license required.

Preferred: CISR, CIC, CRM, ARM, CPCU.
Knowledge and Skills

Strong understanding of General Liability, Commercial Auto, Workers Comp, Products Liability, Property, and Umbrella coverage.

Familiarity with complex coverages (E&O, Fiduciary, EPLI, D&O) preferred.

Excellent communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills.

Strong time management and attention to detail.

Proficient with software such as MS Office, EPIC, carrier websites.
Physical Requirements
