Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused Associate Dentist to provide
comprehensive dental care while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
The ideal candidate is clinically confident, ethical, and committed to educating patients on their
oral health while providing evidence-based treatment recommendations. This individual should
be comfortable working in a modern digital practice, collaborating with the clinical team, and
helping build lasting patient relationships.

Responsibilities
Comprehensive Patient Care
- Perform comprehensive oral examinations and diagnose dental conditions.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on each patient's needs and goals.
- Educate patients on oral health, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Deliver compassionate, ethical, and patient-centered dental care.
- Build long-term relationships through excellent communication and trust.
- Clinical Procedures
- Perform or be comfortable providing:
Comprehensive and periodic examinations
- Digital radiographic interpretation
- Preventive dentistry
- Composite restorations
- Crowns and bridges
- Fixed and removable prosthodontics
- Simple and surgical extractions
- Root canal therapy (preferred)
- Emergency dental treatment
- Cosmetic dentistry, including veneers and teeth whitening
- Night guards and occlusal appliances
- Treatment planning for implant restorations (implant placement experience is a plus but
not required)
Treatment Planning & Case Acceptance
- Present treatment plans clearly and professionally.
- Discuss diagnoses and treatment options with patients.
- Help patients understand the benefits of recommended treatment.
- Work closely with the Insurance & Front Office Manager to coordinate treatment
acceptance and financial arrangements.
- Encourage preventive care and long-term oral health.
Clinical Documentation
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient records.
- Document diagnoses, treatment performed, prescriptions
- Ensure documentation complies with California dental regulations and practice
Collaboration & Leadership
- Collaborate closely with dental assistants and front office staff to ensure efficient patient
flow.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
- Mentor and support clinical staff when appropriate.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving clinical operations and
patient experience.
Quality & Compliance
- Adhere to California Dental Board regulations and professional standards.
- Maintain OSHA, CDC, HIPAA, and infection control compliance.
- Ensure the highest standards of patient safety and quality of care.
- Participate in continuing education to remain current with advances in dentistry.
Required Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
- Active California Dental License in good standing.
- Current DEA Registration (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Current CPR/BLS Certification.
- Excellent clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.
- Strong communication and patient education abilities.
- Professional, ethical, and compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the dental team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred (new graduates with strong
clinical skills are encouraged to apply).
- Experience with digital dentistry and intraoral scanners.
- Experience using CareStack or other dental practice management software.
- Experience with cosmetic dentistry.
- Experience performing root canal therapy and surgical extractions.
- Implant restoration experience.
- Invisalign or clear aligner experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Experience working in a startup or growing dental practice.
