Van Driver
Job Summary
The Hingham Public School system is seeking a Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school daily.
Qualifications
- Must have a clean driving record
- Maintain or be able to maintain a 7D License, required. Training available, if needed.
Responsibilities
- Driving students to and from home/school.
- Observing all established work practices in accordance with school policies.
- Complying with all motor vehicle laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Registry of Motor Vehicles, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, School Committee, and local authorities
- Ensure safety of students during transportation, including loading, unloading, and maintaining safe driving environment.
- Reporting of all observed student injuries, accidents, illnesses and discipline problems to your supervisor in a timely manner.
- Maintain order among students, enforcing policies, and communicating with students, and school staff
- Performing daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of vehicles.
- Maintaining a clean vehicle at all times.
