Substitute - School Nurse
(Daily, as needed)
Hingham Public Schools is seeking candidates to fill substitute school nurse positions at all levels (prek-12). All substitute postions are on an "as needed" basis. These positions offer flexibile scheduling. Primary responsibility of the Substitute School Nurse is to provide continuity of medical care to students particularly when the regular school nurse is absent, but duties may include assitance with health screenings and providing care for students on field trips.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for professional, medical treatment of students (including administration of medications).
- Maintains clinical records.
- Provides emergency aid to students and school staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Current Massachusetts Nursing license required
- Pediatric experience preferred
Experience working with students in educational setting preferred
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Prolonged periods of standing, reaching, and bending.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
