The Front Desk Agent serves as the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service throughout the guest experience. This role manages check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest inquiries while ensuring a smooth and welcoming hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly, professional manner
- Perform guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
- Verify guest information, process payments, and issue room keys
- Manage reservations, modifications, and cancellations
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions
- Handle guest complaints with professionalism and escalate when necessary
- Maintain accurate records in the property management system (PMS)
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness
- Monitor lobby activity and maintain a clean, organized front desk area
- Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards
Work Experience
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Basic computer skills; experience with hotel PMS systems is a plus
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
