What We Offer:
To plan and organize daily shipping and receiving operations for the Hotel. Keep the loading dock operations clean and organized. Assist with daily storeroom operations.
Essential Functions:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, at the discretion of the manager based on the particular requirements of the hotel.
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Education:
Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. High school diploma preferred or equivalent.
Experience:
One year of Food and Beverage experience at a similar volume hotel. Experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
Licenses and Certificates:
Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates. Forklift certificate is required. Training can be provided on-site. First Aid training preferred.

To plan and organize daily shipping and receiving operations for the Hotel. Keep the loading dock operations clean and organized. Assist with daily storeroom operations.
Essential Functions:
- Delivers interdepartmental mail. Ships, tracks, and receives mail for the Hotel and its guests. Maintains proper supply levels of shipping materials. Communicates with internal departments regarding incoming packages and follows up with outgoing shipments. Assists the Bell Stand with cage runs. Manages cage inventory and ageing packages and returns.
- Maintains, organizes, cleans, and provides forklift assistance to vendors on loading dock.
- Assists with daily storeroom operations, proper storage, and rotation of stock to maintain freshness and reduce waste. Assists with the issuing of products to Food and Beverage Outlets. Verifies quantities and quality of products. Ensures proper requisition policies and procedures are followed.
- Processes and creates shipping labels for outgoing shipments. Handles billing through Accounting for packages being sent via hotel accounts or being billed through third parties, etc.
- Assists with end of the month inventory operations. Checks in with vendors properly by verifying items being invoiced, making adjustments to invoices as needed.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, at the discretion of the manager based on the particular requirements of the hotel.
- Performs duties of storeroom receiving clerk, including receiving, filling requisitions, rotation of stock, and assists in month-end inventories.
- Performs any general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
- Participates in Hotel and departmental meetings.
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Must have general knowledge of food, beverage, general shipping, and receiving procedures.
- Basic mathematical and computer skills to process shipping labels and tracking packages.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language sufficient to complete forms and inventories, read billings and invoices, and communicate with co-workers and purveyors.
- Ability to apply basic supervisory skills to plan, organize, direct employees, coach, train and discipline, as necessary.
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push goods on a hand cart or truck weighing a maximum of 300 lbs. Goods must be moved one or more items at a time, depending on size and weight, at a continuous schedule.
Education:
