Duties

• Perform floor cleaning and maintenance using appropriate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and mops to ensure spotless surfaces across all hotel areas
• Handle chemical agents safely by following established protocols, including understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and proper storage procedures
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment to support efficient housekeeping operations
• Support sanitation efforts by cleaning guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and service spaces according to hotel standards
• Manage janitorial tasks such as waste disposal, replenishing supplies, and ensuring all cleaning tools are maintained in optimal condition
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and correctly in case of incidents or safety concerns
• Collaborate with housekeeping management to uphold hotel cleanliness standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial work is preferred; familiarity with hotel industry standards is a plus
• Knowledge of floor care techniques, including vacuuming, polishing, and chemical handling for various surfaces
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving equipment or furniture as needed
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
• Understanding of sanitation practices and safety protocols related to industrial cleaning and chemical use
• Ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by hotel operations

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
