Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high cleanliness standards.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to ensure a safe environment for yourself and colleagues.
• Conduct floor care activities such as mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces throughout the property.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of public areas and event spaces, ensuring they are tidy and presentable at all times.
• Manage heavy lifting tasks related to moving supplies, furniture, or equipment safely using proper manual handling techniques.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to protect guests and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness logs and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management.

Skills

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or janitorial roles within hospitality settings.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, industrial cleaning methods, and custodial best practices.
• Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while adhering to SDS guidelines for safe use.
• Skilled in manual handling and heavy lifting with a focus on safety protocols.
• Familiarity with floor care equipment and procedures for maintaining various flooring types.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety standards essential for maintaining a secure environment.
