Overview
Hiller Ford is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Hybrid Quick Lane Service Advisor / Technician to join our established dealership team. This full-time role combines customer interaction with hands-on vehicle maintenance, offering the opportunity to grow both technical and service advisor skills. You will be supported by an experienced management and service team dedicated to your success.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience (Advisor Duties)
- Greet customers and document concerns
- Explain recommended maintenance and services
- Provide estimates and obtain approvals
- Update customers on service progress
- Review completed work and ensure satisfaction
Technical Responsibilities (Technician Duties)
- Diagnose vehicles to determine repair and maintenance needs
- Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, filters, batteries, bulbs)
- Rotate and replace tires
- Conduct multi-point inspections and report findings
- Test drive vehicles to verify satisfactory repairs
- Maintain efficiency, accuracy, and quality standards
Service Coordination
- Create and manage repair orders
- Communicate with technicians and parts department
- Schedule appointments and manage workflow
- Coordinate OEM parts and assist with FordPass
Warranty & Compliance
- Verify coverage using Ford OASIS
- Follow warranty documentation procedures
- Communicate recalls and service campaign information
Sales & Performance
- Recommend maintenance and repair services
- Promote Ford Protect and service specials
- Support CSI and department performance goals
Administrative & Safety
- Process payments and invoices
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations
- Follow dealership policies and standards
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service or automotive experience
- Basic automotive knowledge and mechanical aptitude
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Ford or dealership experience
- Familiarity with OASIS, FordPass, SYNC
- CDK experience
- Sales and/or technician experience
