Overview:
Hiller Ford is seeking a professional, customer‑focused Service Writer to join our trusted and long-established Ford dealership. As the face of our Quicklane department, you will guide customers through the maintenance and repair process, communicate with Ford‑trained technicians, and ensure an exceptional, transparent service experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience
- Greet customers promptly and professionally.
- Document customer concerns accurately.
- Explain Ford‑recommended maintenance and repairs.
- Provide estimates and obtain approvals.
- Keep customers updated on repair status.
- Review completed service work.
Service Coordination:
- Create and manage repair orders.
- Communicate with technicians.
- Schedule service appointments.
- Coordinate Ford OEM parts.
- Assist with FordPass redemptions
Warranty, Recall & Compliance:
- Verify warranty coverage through Ford OASIS.
- Follow Ford warranty documentation standards.
- Communicate recall and campaign information.
Sales & Performance:
- Recommend Ford maintenance and repair services.
- Educate customers on Ford Protect and service specials.
- Meet CSI and service department goals.
Administrative Duties:
- Process payments and invoices.
- Maintain organized service write‑up area.
- Follow dealership safety policies.
Qualifications Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service or automotive experience.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Basic automotive knowledge.
- Ability to multitask.
Preferred:
- Ford or OEM dealership experience.
- Familiarity with Ford systems (OASIS, FordPass, SYNC).
- CDK experience
- Sales experience.
