Get to Know Your Team:
- Oklahoma Heart Institute offers 24/7 catheterization labs, cardiac rehabilitation and a heart failure center. In addition, OHI is involved in over 200 cutting-edge research studies across the vast amount of specialties within the system.
- Communicates with patients regarding physician/provider instructions, diagnostic procedures and results, medication changes and disease processes.
- Identifies and assesses patient problems and returns calls within 48 hours for triage messages.
- Writes orders for diagnostics and procedures.
- Reviews and understands laboratory testing basic ECG knowledge and addresses abnormal values before the patient has a diagnostic test or procedure requiring pre-screening laboratory testing.
- Manages patients utilizing the anti-coagulation protocol guidelines and documents utilization appropriately in EPIC.
Job Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- Current ACLS
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- Previous cardiology nursing experience
