- Hillcrest Hospital Claremore is a 49-bed acute care medical center offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including maternity, cardiology, emergency, orthopedics, alcohol withdrawal stabilization, gastroenterology and surgery.
Learn About a Day In the Life of a Surgical Tech:
- Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and work closely with the circulating nurse.
- Terminally clean the operating room after each procedure and restock supplies.
- Under the direction of a registered nurse, carry out all scrub duties as outlined in the department procedure manual.
- Create and maintain a sterile field and provide instruments to the surgeon.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited Certified Surgical Technology Program
- High School diploma or GED
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- One year of Surgical Technology experience
- Certified Surgical Technologist through the NBSTSA or NCCT
