Duties
- Assist licensed electricians with installing, wiring, and troubleshooting electrical systems on construction sites.
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, bend, and assemble electrical components according to schematics and blueprints.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support project execution.
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and verify circuit integrity.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety procedures related to construction and electrical work.
- Support the installation of low voltage systems including data, communication, and security wiring as needed.
Experience
- Prior experience or training in residential or commercial electrician work is highly desirable.
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety protocols and teamwork in active environments.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment used in electrical installations.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems, NEC standards, and high voltage safety practices is a plus.
- Experience with Ohmmeters or similar testing devices for troubleshooting electrical circuits.
- Knowledge of frame carpentry or related construction skills can be beneficial but is not required.
