Help us help others:
The Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist, under the supervision of the Training and Development Coordinator, implements and manages training programs, LMS, and program effectiveness. Key responsibilities include supporting curriculum, delivering training, and tracking compliance, requiring strong person-centered skills and communication skills.
You will get to:
· Conduct required staff training for employees, such as Prevention Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, and Mental Health First Aid
· Maintain certifications and the physical ability to teach all required courses for new employees, including, but not limited to, PMAB, CPR, First Aid, and MHFA
· Work in coordination with the Learning and Development Coordinator to schedule all applicable training for employees.
· Document training and maintain training records
· Travel to work sites across the organization for training
You’ll definitely need:
· High School Diploma or GED
· At least 1 year of face-to-face adult classroom training experience, or the equivalent professional experience
· Preferred: A bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of face-to-face adult classroom training experience (preferred)
· A valid Texas State Driver’s License.
· Current automobile insurance and the ability to travel when necessary.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
· Be comfortable working with technology
· Sustain a calm demeanor when under pressure to handle sometimes difficult situations.
· Provide exemplary customer service and care to your team.
· Work autonomously to complete assignments.
· Must become certified in PMAB, First Aid, and CPR within three months of employment and maintain certification without interruption thereafter.
· Must complete 2-day Person Centered Thinking Training within 12 months of employment and become certified as a trainer when certification is available.
