Job Title: Lower School Art Teacher

Position Overview
We are seeking a vibrant, creative, and student-centered Lower School Art Teacher to inspire our youngest artists (Grades K-4). The ideal candidate is passionate about child development and visual storytelling, capable of turning a classroom into a studio where every student feels empowered to experiment, fail forward, and create with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum & Instruction: Design and implement a scaffolded, age-appropriate visual arts curriculum covering drawing, painting, sculpture, and ceramics
- Studio Management: Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive "choice-based" or traditional studio environment. Manage budgets, inventory, and the safe handling of all materials.
- Art Advocacy: Curate and install student art exhibitions throughout the school hallways
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with classroom teachers to integrate art with core subjects and project approach learning
- Student Growth: Provide authentic, growth-oriented feedback.
- Community Engagement: Participate in faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school-wide events.
