Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Process cash and credit transactions accurately while handling cash handling responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently
- Engage with guests to foster positive relationships and address any concerns promptly
- Support team members with food handling, serving, and guest services to promote a collaborative environment
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality settings; fine dining experience is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with POS systems is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and drink presentation
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing time efficiently
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately
- Culinary experience or food industry background preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly and understanding of spirits knowledge is advantageous
- Previous host/hostess or bussing experience is beneficial for supporting team operations
