Duties
- Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently to clean all cookware, utensils, glassware, and dinnerware following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup
- Clear and bus tables promptly, ensuring a tidy dining area that enhances guest satisfaction
- Follow proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy loads of dishes or supplies to prevent injury
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and dining areas by adhering to sanitation standards and restaurant health and safety protocols
- Support food safety management practices by properly storing cleaned items and disposing of waste responsibly
- Assist with light cleaning duties around the kitchen and dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation practices within a restaurant setting
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers safely and effectively
- Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting and moving supplies or dishes
