Position Summary: The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing appointment scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, payment collection, and communication between patients, providers, and clinic departments.
Essential Functions and Responsibilites:
- Schedules, coordinates and reschedules patient’s appointments.
- Greets and registers patients in a prompt, pleasant, and helpful manner.
- Verifies necessary patient demographic and insurance information
- Answers telephone, screens calls, takes messages, and provides information.
- Answers questions regarding patient appointments and testing.
- Collects deductibles and co-pays as required by insurance.
- Monitor patient flow, maintain a welcoming waiting area, and communicate delays or concerns to patients and staff.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduation or GED
- Minimum one year of medical office, healthcare customer service, or front desk experience preferred.
- Experience with scheduling and patient registration preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records and practice management software preferred.

Pay: $13.23 - $17.31 per hour
