Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care, patient education, care coordination, and clinical support under the direction of physicians and advanced practice providers. The RN is responsible for assessing patient health status, coordinating diagnostic and treatment services, administering medications and therapies, educating patients and families, and promoting quality, safety, and positive patient outcomes. The RN serves as a clinical resource and collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
Duties
- Performs comprehensive nursing assessments, develops individualized plans of care, and monitors patient progress while collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, patients, and caregivers.
- Safely prepares, administers, and documents medications, treatments, and clinical procedures in accordance with provider orders, nursing standards, and organizational policies.
- Assists with examinations, diagnostic testing, procedures, and treatments while demonstrating competency in the use of clinical equipment and maintaining patient safety.
- Provides patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, procedures, disease management, and follow-up care to promote positive health outcomes.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana.
- At least 1 year of RN experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31.12 - $39.70 per hour
