Independent Residential & Commercial Cleaning Contractor

Higher Ground Housekeeping LLC | East Tennessee
Client Services Begin October 1, 2026

Higher Ground Housekeeping is a locally owned cleaning company serving homes, vacation properties, and businesses throughout East Tennessee. We’re building our company around a simple standard: do excellent work, be dependable, and leave every space better than we found it.

As we begin serving clients October 1, 2026, we’re looking for dependable, detail-oriented cleaning professionals to join our growing team as independent contractors.

Our services include residential cleaning, recurring cleanings, deep cleans, move-in/move-out services, and vacation rental cleaning, with opportunities for commercial work as we continue to grow.

We’re looking for people who take genuine pride in their work. If you notice the details others miss, enjoy transforming a space, and can be trusted to provide consistent, high-quality service without constant supervision, you may be a great fit for Higher Ground.

What You’ll Do

As an independent cleaning contractor, you may:

• Complete residential, vacation rental, move-in/move-out, deep, and occasional commercial cleaning services
• Follow the scope and instructions provided for each cleaning
• Provide consistent, detail-oriented work from one appointment to the next
• Arrive on time and complete scheduled services reliably
• Treat clients, their homes, belongings, and properties with care and respect
• Communicate professionally regarding appointments or service concerns
• Help create an experience that earns repeat clients and five-star reviews
• Represent Higher Ground Housekeeping professionally while servicing assigned clients

What We’re Looking For

We’re especially interested in contractors who are:

• Dependable and punctual
• Detail-oriented and thorough
• Trustworthy and professional
• Comfortable working independently
• Able to manage their time effectively
• Friendly and respectful with clients
• Able to follow property-specific cleaning instructions
• Consistent in the quality of their work
• Comfortable traveling to client properties throughout their selected service area

Previous professional cleaning experience is preferred, particularly residential, vacation rental, or commercial cleaning experience.

• Independent Contractor Requirements:

Contractors must be able to provide or maintain:

• Reliable transportation
• A valid driver’s license
• Required cleaning supplies and equipment
• General liability insurance
• A valid Social Security Number or EIN for tax reporting
• Ability to successfully complete a background check
• Reliable communication and access to scheduling information

This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity, not a W-2 employee position.

• Compensation

Commission-based compensation

Contractors are paid based on completed cleaning services, allowing earnings to grow with the number and type of jobs accepted.

Opportunities may include:

• Recurring residential clients
• Deep cleaning appointments
• Move-in and move-out cleaning
• Vacation rental and short-term rental turnovers
• Commercial cleaning opportunities
• Additional client opportunities as Higher Ground Housekeeping expands throughout East Tennessee

Flexible Scheduling

We understand that flexibility matters.

Independent contractors may have opportunities to accept cleaning jobs that work with their availability and service area. The amount of available work may vary based on client demand, location, season, and contractor availability.

Who Fits Higher Ground?

You’re the type of person who sees the fingerprints on the glass, the dust along the baseboards, and the small details that can turn a good cleaning into a great one.

You take pride in your work even when nobody is watching.

You understand that clients are trusting us with their homes, businesses, and properties—and you treat that trust seriously.

Most importantly, you’re dependable. When you commit to a job, our clients and our company can count on you.

Higher Ground Housekeeping is growing from the ground up, and we’re looking for quality-focused cleaning professionals who want the opportunity to grow alongside us.
