Higher Ground Housekeeping is a locally owned cleaning company serving homes, vacation properties, and businesses throughout East Tennessee. We’re building our company around a simple standard: do excellent work, be dependable, and leave every space better than we found it.

As we begin serving clients October 1, 2026, we’re looking for dependable, detail-oriented cleaning professionals to join our growing team as independent contractors.

Our services include residential cleaning, recurring cleanings, deep cleans, move-in/move-out services, and vacation rental cleaning, with opportunities for commercial work as we continue to grow.

We’re looking for people who take genuine pride in their work. If you notice the details others miss, enjoy transforming a space, and can be trusted to provide consistent, high-quality service without constant supervision, you may be a great fit for Higher Ground.

What You’ll Do

As an independent cleaning contractor, you may:

• Complete residential, vacation rental, move-in/move-out, deep, and occasional commercial cleaning services
• Follow the scope and instructions provided for each cleaning
• Provide consistent, detail-oriented work from one appointment to the next
• Arrive on time and complete scheduled services reliably
• Treat clients, their homes, belongings, and properties with care and respect
• Communicate professionally regarding appointments or service concerns
• Help create an experience that earns repeat clients and five-star reviews
• Represent Higher Ground Housekeeping professionally while servicing assigned clients

Previous professional cleaning experience is preferred, particularly residential, vacation rental, or commercial cleaning experience.

• Independent Contractor Requirements:

Contractors must be able to provide or maintain:

• Reliable transportation
• A valid driver’s license
• Required cleaning supplies and equipment
• General liability insurance
• A valid Social Security Number or EIN for tax reporting
• Ability to successfully complete a background check
• Reliable communication and access to scheduling information

This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity, not a W-2 employee position.

• Compensation

Commission-based compensation

Contractors are paid based on completed cleaning services, allowing earnings to grow with the number and type of jobs accepted.
