What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media & Videography Intern position at High Society?
Job Title: Social Media & Videography Intern
Location: Chicago (on-site for events & content capture)
Company: High Society
High Society is a human-first consulting and events agency focused on building real-world connection, community, and brand impact. We help brands stand out by creating meaningful experiences—both online and offline—that actually resonate with people.
We’re not here to flood the internet with noise. We’re here to build influence that matters.
We’re looking for a Social Media & Videography Intern who’s excited to capture, create, and tell stories in a raw, real, and engaging way.
This isn’t your typical “schedule posts and call it a day” role. You’ll be behind the scenes and in the action—capturing content at events, documenting day-in-the-life moments, and helping turn real experiences into high-performing social content.
If you love content, storytelling, and being where things are happening—this is for you.
This is an unpaid internship. No salary will be provided. The role is designed as a learning experience with significant hands-on opportunities to build your portfolio and skills.
This internship may evolve into a formal paid position for the right candidate who demonstrates strong initiative and fit with the team.
- Capture behind-the-scenes content at events, meetings, and day-to-day operations
- Film “day in the life” style content with founders and team members
- Create short-form video content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
- Help turn long-form content (events, interviews, podcasts) into multiple social assets
- Edit and organize video/photo content for easy use across the team
- Stay on top of social trends and suggest ways we can show up creatively
- Assist in building a consistent and engaging social presence
- Passion for social media, storytelling, and content creation
- Comfortable filming people in real-life, unscripted moments
- Eye for aesthetic, vibe, and what “feels” engaging
- Self-starter who can take initiative and run with ideas
- Organized and able to manage content files and timelines
- Bonus: interest in branding, marketing, or events
- Real-world experience working with a growing agency
- Hands-on access to events, brand strategy, and client work
- Opportunity to build a strong portfolio with diverse content
- Mentorship and exposure to marketing, branding, and business strategy
- A front-row seat to how brands actually grow in today’s landscape
You’re not just posting content—you’re helping shape how a brand shows up in the world.
We believe the future of the internet is human connection, real experiences, and meaningful influence. You’ll be part of bringing that to life.
