What are the responsibilities and job description for the HS Accompanist Position position at High School?
Hollister High School is seeking a skilled accompanist to support the Blue Harmony Singers Show Choir and Concert Choir for the 2026–2027 school year. This stipend position works closely with the Choir Director to provide piano accompaniment for rehearsals, concerts, contests, and performances throughout the year.
Responsibilities include:
• Accompanying daily choir rehearsals (classes meet from 10:30AM–12:30PM)
• Accompanying school choir concerts and performances
• Traveling with students to District/State Contest and Show Choir Competitions
• Collaborating with the Choir Director to schedule rehearsal and performance dates
• Supporting student learning and performance preparation through strong piano accompaniment and sight-reading skills
Qualifications:
• Strong piano performance and sight-reading abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively with students and staff
• Dependable, professional, and flexible schedule
• Previous accompaniment experience preferred, but not required
