Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck.
- Follow designated routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload appliances efficiently.
- Comply with all DOT (Department of Transportation).
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate deliveries and report delays or issues.
Skills
- Proven experience in driving a box truck, including route driving and delivery operations.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning techniques for efficient deliveries.
- Strong understanding of DOT requirements, and safety standards related to truck driving.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely during load & unload activities using appropriate equipment.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence.
