Position Summary

High Performance Alloys (HPA) is seeking a detail-oriented and quality-focused Quality Assurance Specialist to support our commitment to producing high-performance nickel, cobalt, titanium, stainless steel, and specialty alloy products that meet or exceed customer expectations. This position is responsible for monitoring quality processes, maintaining documentation, supporting audits, investigating nonconformances, and ensuring compliance with customer, industry, and company quality standards.

The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and able to work effectively with production, sales, purchasing, and management teams to continuously improve quality performance throughout the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review and maintain quality records, certifications, test reports, and inspection documentation.
  • Verify compliance with customer specifications, purchase orders, and industry standards.
  • Assist with internal audits and support external customer and certification audits.
  • Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and nonconforming materials.
  • Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and track completion.
  • Monitor and report quality metrics, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support material traceability and documentation requirements.
  • Review incoming material certifications and inspection records.
  • Collaborate with production and operations personnel to identify and resolve quality concerns.
  • Assist in maintaining ISO quality management system documentation and procedures.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure quality documentation is accurate, complete, and properly retained.
  • Support employee training related to quality procedures and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret specifications, procedures, and technical documents.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical, manufacturing, engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in metals manufacturing, aerospace, industrial manufacturing, or specialty alloys.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality management system.
  • Knowledge of corrective action processes and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Experience using ERP or quality management software systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to access manufacturing and warehouse environments.
  • Ability to visually inspect documents, materials, and products.

Work Environment

This position works in both office and manufacturing environments. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when entering production areas.
