Position Summary
High Performance Alloys is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Custodian to support the cleanliness, safety, and basic upkeep of our manufacturing facility. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment for all employees, visitors, and contractors.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is self-motivated, and can work independently while following safety and facility standards in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of production floors, offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and remove debris from facility spaces
- Empty trash and recycling containers and properly dispose of waste
- Maintain cleanliness of entryways, walkways, and high-traffic areas
- Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and restroom products
- Assist with basic facility maintenance tasks as needed (light repairs, replacing bulbs, etc.)
- Support the Maintenance Department as needed with general tasks, projects, and facility upkeep assistance
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE when working in production areas
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or repair needs to management promptly
- Support seasonal or periodic deep cleaning projects
Qualifications
- Previous custodial, janitorial, or facility maintenance experience preferred (manufacturing environment a plus)
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks without constant supervision
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining cleanliness standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety practices
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
