Job Skills / Requirements
Location: HES- Anderson University
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7A-4P (On-call rotation to include after hours or weekends as needed for emergencies)
Every job within a school district plays an important role—and this includes out maintenance/facilities department. As part of our operations team, you will help prepare school facilities by supporting the safe and efficient repairs of all dorm rooms, along with academic buildings. Looking for maintenance technicians that have experience in HVAC, plumbing, and/or general repairs to include minimal drywall work or window repairs.
We are recruiting full time facilities technicians.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow a work order system to complete tasks as needed by students, or faculty.
- Minor repairs to HVAC, plumbing, drywall repair or painting.
- Manipulate or move furniture to preform work as needed. .
- Work collaboratively with team members and take direction from supervisors.
- Light electrical.
- On-call rotation with other facilities employees (1-week month)
- Assist with snow removal- Able to operate snow plows or other snow equipment.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read, follow instructions, and work as part of a team.
- Punctual, dependable, and professional in demeanor.
- Must be able to work with a diverse group of people.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Previous facilities or maintenance required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift, push, and carry items up to 75 lbs.
- Frequent bending, stooping, standing, and walking for extended periods (up to 8 hours/day).
- Ability to operate tools as needed.
- Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor environments.
