Job Summary
The Team Lead at our cannabis cultivation or manufacturing facility is responsible for overseeing the daily labor operations ensure the successful growth, harvesting, post-harvest care, extraction, manufacturing, and packaging of high-quality cannabis and cannabis products.
Team Leads are present in several departments and assist in managing day-to-day workflow for cultivation technicians, infused product specialists, and packaging specialists. Team Leads are knowledgeable in their associated department and can be relied on to delegate tasks and ensure that cultivation and manufacturing protocols and safety standards are met. As a key leader on the floor, you will drive efficiency, motivate team members, and support Management in meeting production goals while ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Labor Management:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of various work crews, including cultivation teams in the greenhouse, packaging teams at manufacturing, or QC teams or manufacturing facilities.
- Assign tasks related to plant care, pruning, watering, pest management, harvesting, trimming, sorting, and performing Quality Checks when working with Cultivation crews.
- Assign tasks related packaging, labeling, extraction, and production, and performing Quality Checks when working with Manufacturing crews.
- Track and manage break schedules and task efficiency to maximize productivity.
- Ensure team members are working safely and following company protocols, providing ongoing training as needed.
Cultivation Operations:
- Assist with cannabis plant care, including planting, cloning, defoliation, topping, and transplanting.
- Collaborate with the Greenhouse Manager and Post-Harvest Foreman to identify and troubleshoot plant issues, such as nutrient deficiencies, pests, or disease.
Manufacturing Operations:
- Assist with the organization and execution of the packaging of various products.
- Educate and advise crew members on applicable processes.
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of crews working on pre-rolls, vapes, concentrates, edibles, and packaging processes.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager and Manufacturing Director to identify and troubleshoot product or process issues, bottlenecks, department needs, etc.
