Senior Agentic Software Engineer

A LITTLE ABOUT THE COMPANY

I am helping my top client find 1-2 more Senior Agentic Software Engineers. I've hired 4 folks for this team in the last 9 months, and people LOVE working here ... They have $200 MILLION in ARR and are tracking quite a bit ahead of an aggressive startup growth plan. Lots more I can share on a call, but FWIW, been able to attract and WIN against candidates FAR above their size and scale. Many folks smarter than me have turned DOWN 400K, 500K, and 700K cash offers to join this company because after speaking with the team, they have come to believe strongly in the equity and what it will be worth.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Deep past experience as a developer and architect scaling production-grade agentic workflows and autonomous systems, leveraging orchestration tools like CrewAI, OpenAI frontier models, and LangChain.
• Bring a foundational background in full-stack software engineering, specifically rooted in TypeScript and JavaScript, with deep Next.js and Node.js development experience.
• Implement advanced reasoning, tool-use frameworks, and execution patterns (such as ReAct, function calling, and vector database integrations) for complex automation.
• Design comprehensive observability pipelines and governance frameworks to ensure autonomous decisions are traceable, monitored, and compliant with regulated sector standards.
• Demonstrate proven startup DNA—thriving in fast-paced environments, comfortably wearing multiple hats, adapting to shifting priorities, and executing cross-functionally.

LOCATION

*This person must currently reside EITHER in the Bay Area or in the Denver area AND be open to a hybrid role 2-3x per week. If your profile does not reflect your current residence in/around the Bay Area OR the Denver Area, your application will be automatically declined.

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this position is between $160k- $275k.
