A high-growth, subscription-based organization is seeking a strategic and hands-on accounting leader to oversee technical accounting, financial operations, and the continued buildout of a scalable accounting infrastructure. This role will serve as a key partner to executive leadership while leading a growing accounting team and preparing the organization for future scale, audit complexity, and evolving compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead technical accounting under U.S. GAAP, including expertise in revenue recognition, lease accounting, and complex compensation structures
• Manage and mentor a growing accounting team across general accounting and operational accounting functions
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process while driving automation, efficiency, and improved reporting accuracy
• Maintain and optimize the company’s ERP environment and accounting systems infrastructure
• Lead external audit coordination and ensure ongoing audit readiness across the organization
• Support entity structure, compliance, and tax coordination activities alongside external advisors
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance and operational leadership to improve reporting consistency and data integrity
• Design and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and scalable operational procedures
• Oversee domestic and international accounting processes as the business continues to expand
• Build scalable processes across order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and record-to-report cycles
• Serve as a strategic accounting partner to executive leadership, supporting operational and financial decision-making
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance within the accounting organization
Qualifications
• CPA strongly preferred
• 10 years of progressive accounting experience with strong technical accounting exposure
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition and complex business transactions
• Experience leading audits and working with external auditors and executive leadership
• Experience in high-growth, multi-entity, or complex operating environments preferred
• Strong systems and process improvement mindset, including ERP optimization experience
• Proven ability to lead teams, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and scale accounting operations
• Combination of public accounting and industry experience highly preferred
