My client is seeking a senior, entrepreneurial Managing Director – Originations to lead market outreach and build their origination engine from the ground up. This is a
foundational role in a startup environment that requires a diligent and enterprising
candidate comfortable owning the full lifecycle of outreach and educating the market on a unique credit enhancement solution for commercial real estate loans. They're not looking for a manager of teams, but a high-level Product Ambassador. You will be the primary engine driving market presence, focusing on finding the right sponsors and lenders who benefit from their platform.
Market Outreach & Advocacy
- Lead all origination activity on a national basis, serving as the primary face of the platform in the market.
- Focus on providing their solutions primarily for permanent loans on stabilized properties, with select participation in light bridge financings.
- Drive a methodical and high-volume outreach strategy to debt brokers, sponsors, and all lender types, including debt funds, banks, insurance companies, and the GSEs.
- Educate counterparties on how our product provides a lending solution for deals that would otherwise not transact.
- Move beyond existing networks to proactively "saturate" the market and develop recurring deal flow.
Deal Execution & Pipeline Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for sourcing and signing up new transactions.
- Work directly with the credit and underwriting teams to structure and review transactions.
- Manage the "heavy lifting" of the pipeline process, including sourcing inquiry, tracking and managing the progression of potential deals, and negotiating with counterparties.
- Provide continuous market feed back internally to inform product evolution and pricing.
Startup Build & Strategy
- Help craft and refine the market messaging, pitch materials, and counterparty-facing content.
- Operate independently with high accountability in an evolving environment with limited infrastructure. Plan and budget travel and industry event participation to execute outreach.
- Work with engineering resources to develop AI and automation of customer and pipeline management systems.
Salary : $200,000 - $250,000
