Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will support individuals facing a wide range of challenges such as developmental disabilities, trauma, co-occurring disorders, and chronic pain. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling using evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and art or dance therapy when appropriate.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes.
• Deliver specialized counseling services including PTSD care, grief counseling, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation adhering to medical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations; ensure accurate medical records and timely case management updates.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans for clients with co-occurring disorders or complex mental health needs.
• Engage in ongoing research and data collection efforts to improve clinical practices and contribute to evidence-based treatment approaches.

Requirements

• Valid licensure as an LIMHP or equivalent in the state of practice with current certification to provide mental health services independently.
• Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including motivational interviewing, social work, crisis management, behavior management, and telehealth therapy.
• Demonstrated expertise working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or special needs such as autism or chronic pain conditions.
• Strong knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and familiarity with medical terminology and medical records management.
• Experience providing clinical counseling across various settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or hospital environments; telehealth experience is highly valued.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations involving trauma or PTSD while maintaining professional ethical standards aligned with clinical guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills for intake assessments, patient care planning, case management, and collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development through research participation and staying current on behavioral health practices.
