Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Your expertise will help individuals and families navigate mental health challenges, co-occurring disorders, trauma, and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions using evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
• Implement crisis management protocols and crisis intervention strategies to ensure patient safety during acute episodes or emergencies.
• Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical ethical guidelines, incorporating modalities like motivational interviewing, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic health records (EHR/EMR), including progress notes, medical records, treatment plans, and medical terminology documentation.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams through case management activities and collaborate on patient care strategies for individuals with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.
• Facilitate intake assessments for new patients via telehealth or in-person visits while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Engage in ongoing clinical research and data collection efforts to improve service delivery outcomes.

Experience

• Proven experience working with children, youth, and families within outpatient or inpatient mental health settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and behavior management techniques.
• Prior experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, Geriatrics populations, or those with complex trauma histories such as PTSD is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to mental health diagnoses and ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10).
• Experience providing telehealth therapy services using secure platforms while maintaining clinical documentation standards.
• Knowledge of clinical ethical guidelines including HIPAA compliance and confidentiality protocols in medical records management.
• Background in social work or related fields with a focus on behavioral health or mental health counseling preferred.
• Ability to perform comprehensive mental health assessments utilizing diagnostic tools for co-occurring disorders or chronic pain conditions when applicable.
