Junior Marketing Coordinator — Social Media Focus
The Junior Marketing Coordinator — Social Media Focus reports to the Marketing Manager under the umbrella of the Sales, Marketing, and Application Engineering department. Day-to-day coordination may also be supported by the Marketing Team as part of the department’s workflow and project execution structure.
The overall goal of this position is to support the marketing team through tactical execution, with a primary focus on social media, digital content, brand visibility, and general marketing coordination. This entry-level role will help strengthen HICO America’s online presence, support content development, assist with marketing campaigns, and provide additional coordination for events, trade shows, website updates, and internal marketing initiatives.
As HICO America continues to grow, including the recently announced U.S. joint venture breaker factory, this role may also support future content, communication, and coordination needs connected to new U.S.-based operations. This position may provide flexible support as the marketing department evaluates future needs tied to company growth, product visibility, and factory-related marketing activity.
This is a hands-on role suited for someone who is organized, creative, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in social media, digital marketing, content coordination, and B2B brand development within the power industry.
THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Support day-to-day social media execution, with a primary focus on LinkedIn and secondary support for other relevant platforms.
- Assist with planning, drafting, scheduling, and publishing social media content aligned with HICO America’s brand standards and business goals.
- Help gather and organize content for social media, including project updates, product highlights, company announcements, employee features, event coverage, and general brand-building posts.
- Track basic social media performance, including impressions, engagement, follower growth, and campaign activity.
- Assist with monthly and campaign-based reporting to help identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Support website content updates, page refreshes, digital asset uploads, and general content maintenance.
- Help maintain consistency across social media, website content, marketing materials, and company messaging.
- Assist with trade shows, conferences, customer visits, company events, and internal marketing initiatives as needed.
- Support pre-event and post-event marketing activity, including content planning, signage, materials, photo organization, recap support, and social media coverage.
- Help organize and maintain marketing files, photo libraries, content calendars, campaign trackers, and department documentation.
- Assist with branded materials, giveaways, apparel, digital assets, and other marketing support items as needed.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to support marketing execution.
- Provide additional tactical support to the marketing team as business needs evolve.
EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Entry-level experience in marketing, communications, social media, or digital content through internships, academic projects, freelance work, or professional experience.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, especially LinkedIn.
- Strong writing skills with attention to tone, accuracy, grammar, and brand voice.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Comfortable working with content calendars, basic reporting, digital files, and marketing documentation.
- Willingness to learn about HICO America’s products, customers, industry, and brand standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with marketing, sales, product management, application engineering, HR, operations, and external partners.
- Professional attitude, strong attention to detail, and willingness to support both creative and tactical assignments.
- Experience with social media scheduling tools or analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design/content tools.
- Basic experience with website CMS platforms.
- Exposure to event, trade show, or B2B marketing support.
- Interest in manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, electrical equipment, or the power industry.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing, content development, and brand awareness campaigns.
