Transactional Tax Associate | Houston
A leading international law firm is seeking a Transactional Tax Associate to join its market-leading tax practice in Houston.
The team advises public and private companies, private equity sponsors, investment funds and financial institutions on the tax aspects of complex domestic and cross-border transactions, working closely with colleagues across the firm's corporate, finance, capital markets and real estate practices.
Associates can expect exposure to matters including:
- strategic and private equity M&A transactions,
- investment fund formation and sponsor-side matters,
- capital markets transactions, including IPOs and spin-offs,
- energy and infrastructure transactions, including energy transition projects,
- real estate acquisitions, financings and REIT-related matters, and
- complex domestic and international tax structuring and advisory work.
Associates are given significant responsibility from an early stage, working directly with clients and deal teams to develop commercially focused tax solutions on sophisticated, high-value transactions.

- 0–6 years' experience (Class Years 2019–2025) advising on transactional tax matters,

- strong technical, drafting and analytical skills,
- excellent academic credentials, and
- experience gained at a leading law firm or within the transactional tax practice of a Big Four accounting firm.
Salary : $225,000 - $390,000
