General Summary
Responsible for assisting in the administering all aspects of the housekeeping program and maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout all areas in the Hospital.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage department goals and drive quality.
- Adhere to company mission and vision statement.
- Aid in developing department work schedule.
- Review staffing and payroll as needed to ensure corporate compliance.
- Analyze trends in government QA inspections and develop processes for preventing future issues.
- Ensure that all employees have received adequate orientation training and documentation is in file.
- Observe Team members daily by rounding in their areas.
- Assist Executive Housekeepers in resolving any potential issues with Supervisors, employees and hospital staff.
- Perform public relation rounds on units and establish relationships with key personnel.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements
- Management background and College Degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a fast-paced hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience requirements in a tertiary-level medical care facility with at least 300 – 500 bed capacity.
- Experience sufficient to understand technical and process-based aspects of the services we provide.
- Must meet or exceed comparable industry certification (IEHA, CHESP) training.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of software
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills
Working Conditions
- Be able to walk extended period of time, bend, kneel, push. Pull, and stretch as required.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs.
