Floor Care Technician Job Description: Our goal is to provide a superior level of cleaning quality in an assigned area to maintain a clean working environment.
Holloman Air Force Base Hospital
***Evening shift (5:00 PM - 10:30 PM) 30Min break
***Must have a valid Driver License.
***Experience maintaining floors (buffing, stripping, and waxing) is strongly preferred.
Duties:
- Reports to the Director of Environmental Services.
- Perform cleaning, buffing, and bonneting procedures to maintain floors.
- Perform floor stripping and extraction projects as assigned.
- Performs daily cleaning procedures in accordance with training videos in assigned areas.
- Records work completed on Area Assignment Checklist.
- Cleans and disinfects clinical and non-clinical areas within the facility, to include (but not limited to) throwing out trash, spot mopping, wiping down surfaces with approved disinfectants, replenishing paper and soap products.
- Responds to Housekeeping pages.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the Director of Environmental Services.
Essential Functions:
- Capable of standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift.
- Pushing, pulling, and lifting furniture and equipment (25 – 100 lb.) frequently.
- Capable of pushing and pulling a maid cart, linen cart, or various equipment (over 100 lb.) continuously throughout a shift.
- Able to lift 0 – 40 lb. frequently.
- Must be able to handle/interact with all chemicals used (i.e., bleach, wax, Virex, etc.).
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and even other hours as needed per assigned area.
- Must have communication skills in English.
