Then we have a spot waiting for you. We are seeking an engaging Clinical Assistant/ Complex Scheduler to join our team supporting our HHM Women's Health Clinic. As part of the HHM team, you’ll be responsible for providing medical assistance to our physicians/ care providers. You will work closely with patients, as well as the physician by reviewing the chart, scheduling various types of surgeries, and obtaining pre-authorizations.
Location: Dallas (5750 Pineland Dr., Dallas)
Here's a sneak peek at what you'll do:
- Coordinating in office, and hospital surgical procedures, obtaining pre-operative testing, writing and communicating surgery orders, and collecting necessary documentation for surgeries.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories
- Manage procedural scheduling across settings
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are available.
- Perform Phlebotomy and specimen processing, adhering to safety and sterilization protocols.
- Document patient's information in the EMR-medical records system (eClinicalWorks).
- Assist with front office duties, as requested, such as scheduling appointments, answering telephones, managing medial records, filing, and arranging transportation for patients.
What you need to succeed:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a medical assistant training program or equivalent years of experience.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent preferred.
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in a women's health or obstetrics setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems; eClnicalWorks preferred.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish, Pashto, Burmese or Rohingya to assist a diverse patient population.
