Responsibilities
- Operate various heavy equipment including forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials safely within the warehouse.
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick, pack, and process customer orders in accordance with specified requirements.
- Perform order picking with precision using
pickers and other mechanical tools to ensure timely fulfillment of shipments. - Manage shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting materials for quality, and maintaining detailed logs.
- Conduct heavy lifting activities safely while adhering to OSHA standards to prevent injuries and ensure a secure work environment.
- Assist with materials handling tasks such as load & unload operations, stacking pallets, and organizing stock for easy access.
- Support warehouse supervision by maintaining inventory accuracy, participating in safety audits, and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse distribution environment is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks; certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards including OSHA regulations is essential for maintaining a safe workspace.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory control software is desirable.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues is advantageous.
- Experience in shipping & receiving processes along with order picking techniques enhances your effectiveness in this role.
