We are at a pivotal point of growth and are seeking a leader to architect and execute our admissions strategy, ensuring we continue to serve our community effectively while maintaining optimal facility utilization.

Salary: 83,200-87,360

Your Mission:

As the Director of Admissions, you will be the central point of contact for patients, families, and hospital partners during a vulnerable time of transition. You will be responsible for the entire admissions lifecycle, from initial inquiry and clinical/financial verification to a smooth and empathetic admission process. Your ability to build strong relationships, navigate complex regulations, and drive the census mix will be paramount to our success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive admissions and marketing plan to achieve and maintain budgeted census goals.
  • Relationship Management: Serve as the primary liaison with hospital discharge planners, case managers, physicians, and other key referral sources to build a robust and reliable pipeline.
  • Admissions Process Management: Oversee the entire admissions process, ensuring a seamless, efficient, and compassionate experience for all patients and their families.
  • Clinical & Financial Coordination: Collaborate with clinical and financial teams to verify patient eligibility, insurance benefits (Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Private Pay), and ensure clinical appropriateness for admission.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all admissions practices and documentation are in strict compliance with federal, state, and company policies and procedures.
  • Team Leadership:Potentially mentor and lead a small team of admissions coordinators or support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in admissions, marketing, or business development within a skilled nursing facility, hospital, or related healthcare setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of the post-acute care landscape, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build immediate trust and rapport.
  • A natural problem-solver who is organized, detail-oriented, and can manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • A compassionate and resilient leader with high emotional intelligence and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and admissions software.

Why Consider This Role?

  • Inherit a Stable Operation: Step into a well-organized business office with established systems and a strong team—not a turnaround situation.
  • Autonomy & Trust: Enjoy significant responsibility and the autonomy to manage your department, backed by a supportive administrative team.
  • Competitive Compensation: A attractive compensation package, including a competitive base salary and a comprehensive benefits package, will be offered to the selected candidate.
