Position Overview
We are looking for a hands-on, execution-focused HR Specialist to support day-to-day HR operations across our U.S. business. This role is highly operational and detail-driven, with a strong emphasis on compliance, accuracy, responsiveness, and accountability.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-demand environment, managing high volumes of transactional work while ensuring strict adherence to California labor laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Employee Lifecycle & Data Management
- Independently manage onboarding, offboarding, and all employee status changes (promotion, transfer, compensation changes, etc.)
- Ensure all employee documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with federal and California requirements
- Maintain clean, audit-ready employee records at all times
2. Timekeeping & Payroll Execution
- Own day-to-day timekeeping data review and validation, including:
- meal/rest break compliance
- overtime accuracy
- attendance irregularities
- Work closely with operations and payroll teams to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Ensure payroll inputs are accurate and delivered on time with minimal error tolerance
3. Benefits Administration
- Execute benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations with high accuracy
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits in a clear and timely manner
- Support benefits program administration and continuous improvement
4. Compliance & Risk Control
- Ensure strict compliance with California labor laws, including wage & hour regulations
- Proactively identify and flag compliance risks (e.g., timekeeping issues, documentation gaps)
- Support internal audits and compliance reviews when required
5. HR Support & Execution
- Provide responsive, solutions-oriented HR support to store operations and internal stakeholders
- Handle high-volume HR inquiries with professionalism and efficiency
- Execute additional tasks and projects assigned by leadership without close supervision
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (HR or related field preferred)
- Minimum 1–2 years of HR operations experience (must be hands-on, not purely administrative exposure)
- Strong working knowledge of California labor laws, especially:
- meal & rest break compliance
- overtime rules
- wage & hour requirements
- Experience with HRIS systems required; ADP or Rippling preferred

Salary : $23 - $28
