About the Role
We are looking for a PR Manager who is proactive, resourceful, and confident in external communications. This role focuses on media relations and external resource development, working closely with internal brand and marketing teams to strengthen brand visibility and reputation.
This position can be based in Los Angeles or New York, depending on the candidate’s location and media network.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, socially confident, and comfortable representing the brand externally, with strong media relationships and a solid understanding of the F&B / consumer goods landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with key media, editors, journalists, and relevant external partners.
- Act as a primary point of contact for media communications, including pitching stories, coordinating interviews, and handling media inquiries.
- Proactively identify and expand PR resources, including media, platforms, and potential collaboration opportunities.
- Plan and execute PR initiatives aligned with brand campaigns, product launches, and key business milestones.
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends, providing insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure consistent and effective brand messaging across all external communications.
- Support bilingual (Chinese & English) PR materials, including press releases, media briefs, and presentations.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in public relations, communications, or related roles, preferably within F&B, consumer goods, lifestyle, or retail industries.
- Strong media relations experience with a proven ability to build and maintain external networks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident in engaging with media and external partners.
- Fluent in both Chinese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly proactive, well-organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player with strong execution skills and a positive, professional attitude.
