Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide range of bread, rolls, and baked goods from scratch using traditional and innovative techniques
- Ensure all baked items meet quality standards for appearance, texture, flavor, and freshness
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing, kneading, shaping, and proofing dough
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Package baked goods attractively for display or takeout orders, ensuring proper labeling and presentation
- Support cake decorating and pastry finishing as needed to enhance product appeal
- Follow all food handling procedures diligently to uphold safety standards and minimize waste
Requirements
- Proven experience in baking, especially with bread and pastry production; culinary or pastry school training is a plus
- Strong knife skills for dough handling and ingredient preparation
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper kitchen hygiene protocols
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and packaging tools safely and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail in food preparation, decorating, and packaging processes
- Prior experience in a bakery setting demonstrating reliability and teamwork
- Passion for baking with a creative flair for cake decorating and pastry presentation is highly desirable
