What You'll Do
As a Purchasing Agent, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our production and maintenance operations running smoothly. You'll be responsible for sourcing materials, maintaining inventory, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing solutions that support our teams and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and purchase materials, supplies, and equipment for production, maintenance, and customer requests.
- Track inventory levels and anticipate future supply needs.
- Prepare and process purchase orders with accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure all purchasing documentation is completed and organized.
- Develop a working knowledge of our in-house products to help identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist team members and departments as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Supply Chain, or related field).
- 2 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with charts, technical documentation, and inventory software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Solid problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.
