Job Purpose: The Rigger I is responsible for operating man lift, scissor lift and forklifts used to lift and haul heavy materials.
Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Checks all equipment fluid levels and takes tanks off of pads and sets them on the ground.
- Moves/loads VHT tanks and sheds, concrete pads, steel and fiberglass tanks. Unloads trailers as necessary.
- Cleans out tool boxes on trailers.
- Inspects, cleans and washes equipment.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Secures materials and equipment at end of day.
- Regular attendance and timeliness.
- Performs additional duties as needed.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Manufacturing background help with equipment operating experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to use department equipment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.

- The work environment is usually an outdoor setting requiring the employee to work in extreme temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is frequently high.
